What to expect

Together we’ll explore what you need to feel grounded and supported, bringing awareness to your strengths and inner resources to foster healing and growth. This is your time. I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and care every step of the way.

Using an integrative approach to therapy, my deeply relational practice is about honouring who you are. By combining therapeutic techniques, I will create a tailored experience to help get you from where you are, to where you want to be in a safe, supportive and compassionate space.

Counselling & Psychotherapy

Reaching out for help can feel scary (I get it, I’ve been there), so I offer a free 15 minute phone call to answer any questions you might have.

If you decide to move forward with KIIT, a 30-60 minute phone call will be arranged which will include a few questions about your presenting issue(s) and current situation.

We will discuss if this form of therapy is right for you, followed by the therapeutic contract including confidentiality, then agreeing on a suitable day and time for our weekly sessions. I encourage one session per week to begin with in order to gain momentum to promote healing, which can then be reviewed together after around 10 sessions and rearranged to once every 2 weeks according to your preference and my availability at the time.

I offer a 50 minute session with an open ended approach to therapy, meaning you are not limited (to date for example, I have worked with clients from between 8 - 60 sessions over 3 months to 2 years). We will however ‘check in’ every 6 sessions to review and ensure we are working towards achieving your goals whilst assessing and accommodating any changes.

Therapy sessions take place either face to face in my therapy room in East Belfast or online via Zoom. I work weekday mornings from 9:30am Tuesday - Friday, and evenings from 6:45pm Tuesday - Thursday. Individual sessions cost £55 and I offer a limited number of reduced rate places for carers or those on a lower income.
